The First Week of High School!

10th September 2011

Just when you think you've dusted yourself down on the latest & greatest hurdle of parenthood another one just has to come & smack your round the chops, I've just spent time adding all vital school dates & info to my diary & came to a sudden halt on reading that Year 8 students are off to France in October for a few days. I've just got used to the idea of Aidan taking the train to Chichester on his own & now you tell me he is off to France (I've been frantically checking the UK Atlas in the vain hope there is a place called France somewhere, only to fling it way in disgust on not finding any)....so this is France as in *whispers with fingers crossed that it's a typo?!*... A B R O A D....on his own...next year! sacré bleu, get some smelly garlic fast...I've just passed out!

WHAT! Well at least you don't skimp on notice, much appreciated, I've SO much time to worry about it, 12+ months should see me being carted off in a straightjacket minimum.

Week 1 at Chichester High School for Boys is done & dusted, I'm scratching my head wondering who swapped him out, I've been looking at him oddly when he's not looking...what happened to Master Featherhead that consistently left things at school & practically had to be forced to school for the last year. He's turned in to a super organised young man, I didn't have to nag him once & he was ahead of the curve providing me with updates on all the things he had done. Has wearing a Blazer as opposed to a sweatshirt school top provided a Superman costume change effect, has it some magic powers I'm unaware of?! If so I might take to wearing one myself!

Well done Aidan on a great 1st week, not sure how I'm going to manage if I can't nag you anymore...but I'm sure we'll figure it out!
