Arthur's Seat

Right now Edinburgh is full of animals threatened with extinction. This is one that has been extinct for a while (the Arthur's Seat lion). Haven't been up it for ages, in fact been up the Mornington one more recently. However, neither of them has anything to do with my day.

Started off being woken in the middle of the night by a very unsettled, distressed child next door. Not sure which of my neighbours' daughters but the crying went on for a while. The joys of tenement living.

That meant I had an excuse for sleeping late, although I didn't. #3 son had no excuse, he just doesn't do 'early' mornings. By the time he did get himself organised so we could take stuff to the dump (aka Community Recycling Centre, scarily with a layout pretty much identical to the Lavit decheterie) it was too late for me to go to the ANESFHS meeting in town. To be honest I was too tired and had to have a lie down, with 'Week-end Woman's Hour'.

Then it was 'let's play hunt the mobile'. #3 son had secreted tidied it away it in the glove compartment and neglected to tell me when asked 'have you seen my phone?'. Took 3 journeys to the car to find it and it hadn't helped that it is always on vibrate these days.

I spent this evening at E's trying to help and support. It was a difficult evening but LBP's finest were great. I hope, I hope it all gets better tomorrow. Arthur's Seat was just a quick blip on the way. The evening light was lovely and it's so mild.

(btw, I finally finished 'Momentum' voting yesterday. What a lot of blips.)

Now I feel really tired and drained and attempts to keep the energy levels up with Twirl bits have failed.
