MEXADELICA - Don't Fight It Feel It!

While driving in the car yesterday - I heard what sounded like a medley of Primal Scream w/some geezer blabbing away in Spanish over the top.

I was able to pick out "Septiembre" and suddenly my heart literally started racing and my palms got rapidly sweaty, as I wondered if I was, in fact listening to an add for a tour date.

I quickly and frantically checked w/Sandra who confirmed, that they will be here on 21st September. I was unable to contain my excitement. I was like a kid at Christmas getting, not one, but two Action Men!!

I really like Primal Scream, but Screamadelica is one of my all time favourite albums. It's very much a formative part of the soundtrack to my early 20's. A time of mayhem, lunacy and helluva lot fun.

It's now 20 years old and this is a special anniversary tour.

The tour started, just as I was planning to leave for Mexico and I remember being disappointed to miss a chance to see it.

I remember wondering if they would make it down to Mexico, but a quick check on their website showed no dates, so I promptly forgot all about it. I can't wait, I really can't wait.

If someone had said all those years ago, that I'd be celebrating the 20 year birthday of the album in Mexico City, I would have dismissed them as lunatics. How the world turns?
