Limescale

Why oh why do we live in a hard water area. Two months ago we lost the dishwasher. Yesterday the washing machine decided to stop working. We ( well, not me but wonderful husband ) cleared a soft, slimy, slate like paste from all the washing machines tubes and inners. Today will try to resurrect our machine, as a large, wet pile of school uniforms await. ah, domesticity.
