A displaced Kentuckian

Sleepy Square

A decade ago today I was sitting in 9th grade algebra when I found out that the planes hit the World Trade Center. I didn't know just how horrible everything truly was until I got home and turned on the television (none of my teachers that day turned the TV on). I don't think there are any words to describe that feeling.

I think, in the words of a good friend, that today we should all focus on love and compassion and remembering those who lost their lives.
