Dreaming Spires

We went to the "Open Doors" event in Oxford today - lots of the colleges were open that aren't normally open to the public, and there were tours of cemeteries, the Jewish Quarter, old cinemas etc.
Between lunching and shopping we only did a few buildings but it was so lovely to get off the beaten track a bit.
This was the view out of the window of the Bodleian library - on today of all days I was struck by the incredible fact that I was looking at buildings that have been there for nearly a thousand years...
