Off to Hebden Bridge to watch other people putting themselves through hell...

C came across this on Friday so we gave it a go (as spectators, you understand). The picture of this young lad does not do the hill justice - very steep and ultra slippy. The course was about 400m long and there weren't many of the riders making it to where we were positioned (about 25 metres from the finish) without falling off/stopping/having to run/stagger/crawl the final section. Found myself wishing I had brought my bike to have a go - good though for both C and I to be "on the other side of the fence" for a change.

We also had a lovely womble around Hebden Bridge, had lunch, drank beer, ate ice-cream...très chilled!
