Antipasti

Family Sunday.
Mum is making pizza, Debbie and I are putting together the starter.

Mum says how lovely it is that we are all here in the kitchen, putting a family meal together.

Debs and I think about this - yep, it's one of those moments that usually happen in films, not in real life. We smile, and carry on stuffing salami with cream cheese, making watermelon balls, arranging prosciutto, choosing which vine leaves look best, and wondering whether there are any olives.
Five minutes later, we both realise that nobody has answered mum.
