Fiery Sky

The sky was different today. Totally blue at first then strips of cottonwood balls appeared. They, along with some high wispy bits (there is a name for these clouds but it escapes me), soon covered the whole skies.

Later in the day the clouds became gray. The sun disappeared behind a hill as I was walking back from grocery shopping and suddenly the sky gave an incredible coloured performance for ten minutes. I had to rush to find a gap in the shrubbery in order to capture something before it disappeared.
