Speak Out With Your Geek Out Day 1 #speakgeek

So today is the first day of Speak Out With Your Geek Out and I thought I'd ease myself into it with this photo. The point of all this is positivity. To show why there is nothing wrong with being a geek.

You wouldn't know it to look at my collection but I'm a photo geek. I've been taking photographs since I received my first camera when I was about 8. Even before then I spent hours playing with an empty camera just to hear it go click when I pressed the button.

What you see here isn't everything as there are another 2-3 point and shoot digital cameras that the kids get to use that I couldn't put my hands on.

Every time I see a photo I like in my head I try to work out how it was done. The lighting, the lens and even the camera if I really want to make a fool of myself. It's all a mental exercise for me. Like a game of sudoku almost but I can't help it. Not that I'm any good at it but with every attempt I improve and it's helped my own photography no end.
