Portrait of a Peasant

Had a quiet weekend so picked up my painting brushes for the first time in months and did this, based on this Cezanne portrait:

Obviously I changed the colours to suit my palette better and also I had to alter the expression a bit because I drew the nose at slightly the wrong angle which changed the whole position of the face, but hopefully I still managed to get a bit of the sadness of the original in.
