One of the most important pieces of equipment on a bike is a seat - the wrong height, shape or amount of padding can make all the difference whether you are a social cyclist or a professional.

This seat belongs to Thor Hushovd the world road racing champion. As world champ Thor gets to wear the famous rainbow jersey and can adorn just about anything with the rainbow stripes associated with being the best in the world - this includes just about every part of his bike and even his water carriers.

We had a great morning watching the build up to the start of the first stage of the Tour of Britain in Peebles in the Scottish Borders. It was like walking along the starting grid of a grand prix seeing all the bikes and riders warming up for the start of the race. Got some great pictures of Thor and Mark Cavendish and eve managed a very quick word with both of them.
