Tour of Britain

For the first time ever the tour of Britain cycle race was due to race from Kendal to Blackpool today. Alongside 100s of others I waited patiently in the rain this morning to watch the town centre cycle through. Eventually we were informed that the stage was cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions and in the end the cyclists merely did 2 laps of the town centre!

What a shame for all of us damp/soggy watchers. I felt sorry for those out on the route further afield that got wet for nothing!
