Jam session!
What a marathon, I began about 9.3o determined to use all the damsons I picked. Over twenty pounds of jam later not a plum in sight! It was a good day to do it as Katia has stormed around the village. Mike has the pear tree roped and most of the pears that were hanging this morning are now on the ground. After the jam I finished off a load of gathered pears by poaching them and putting them in bags and into the freezer. That's Winter desserts sorted!
The wind is still howling but a little less ferociously. I am driving my friend to Suffolk tomorrow so hope the weather is settled. We are travelling in convoy with her son and daughter in another car. No doubt we will celebrate the move at some point as it is a great relief to us all to have S in a better location. She is excited too and looking forward to planning her new kitchen!
I hope to back blip when I come home on Thursday or Friday.
