Ivy blossom

Back at work today - lots to catch up on. Feeling weary as the wind in the trees kept me awake last night and I'm still not quite on the right time zone.

Managed a walk at lunchtime. Sunny but very windy and got pelted with acorns as they were blown from the trees. There were a few butterflies about and even a dragonfly. The ivy blossom was out in the hedgerows and smelled quite strong. It was attracting lots of wasps and a few bees. I like the unusual shape of the flowers.

First governors' meeting of the new term tonight. Not too long and a fairly optimistic one.

Now waiting for husband to return from an 11 mile run with one of my work colleagues.....wonder if he expected to finish off in the dark. Must be autumn.
