Wilted!

First day back at work was a bit tiring but I got a couple of important jobs done, got things wrapped up and put in the post.

As everywhere else in the UK, the weather was atrocious so went for an emergency blip of a dried out poppy I picked a few weeks ago.

It was meant to be a macro shot as I was using the bellows but I needed to get the curve of the stalk in as well so the macro version will be another day.

For Critique: Something I'm not clued up on is the difference between layers and masks and which would have been best to use here. I used layers and tried the different blending modes until something appealed to me.
