RUGBY WORLD CUP DISPLAY
New Zealand is hosting the Rugby World Cup at the moment. The stadium in Christchurch where some of the matches were to have been held was damaged beyond repair in the earthquakes so none of the matches can be held in Christchurch. A fan zone has been set up in Hagley Park and all the games being played around N.Z. are being played on a big screen television in this fan zone. Historic displays have been set up in temporary buildings. My blip today is one of the displays depicting the living rooms as they would have been over the decades where fans would have watched the games on T.V. or listened to commentaries on the radio .
The first image is the temporary building. 2nd is a 1930's Kiwi Bach with the old radio on the verandah.3rd is a 1950 kitchen the 4th a 1970 student flat living room, note the stack of beer bottle crates in the corner.
