We travelled by train from Venice to Verona (super cheap) as Mr B had bought tickets to the Opera Festival as a birthday treat.

We had a look around during the day and visited Juliet's balcony and as you can see here, the Montague residence. I was slightly amused by all the tourists clamouring to see the places where fictional characters supposedly lived, most amusing.

In other news the opera was absolutely incredible. I was a bit apprehensive as I thought we may not understand anything but it was phenomenal! The singers absolutely filled the huge roman ampitheatre with noise and I was totally mesmerised. We watched La Boheme in which there is lots of love and a bit of death.
