Gladder Against the Day
"Was never bird gladder against the day;
Nor nightingale in the season of May
Was never none, that better list to sing;
Nor lady lustier in carolling"
- Chaucer, The Canon's Yeoman's Tale
These Common Mynahs roost on the power lines and roof of the local train station. Though I went looking for lorikeets today, I had no photo luck, and so was blip-less when I got home. As I walked from the station I turned and looked, and rather liked the silhouetted birds, and the lights of the station.
I just cropped and sharpened it a bit, and pulled down the luminance curve moderately.
Having posted this now, I see what I posted a year ago today, and find myself rather amused, because had I more time en route to the station this evening I had thought to photograph this wall again, but using my Lumix, instead of the iPhone I used last time. That would have been an amusing coincidence ;-)
