Where it all begins.

My initial (but not original(!)) idea of taking a photo every day of the year, has obviously been unsuccessful, having managed just over a month - and that was a struggle!

As I begin a new chapter in my life, having moved to Manchester from Plymouth to recommence my training, I have decided to use Blip as a journal of my experiences and activities as I settle into this new and vast city. I do not promise to upload every day, but I will do my best!

This - my first Blip of this journal - is my new street. I can no longer see the sea by poking my head out of the window, I now get woken up by sirens instead of Seaguls, and the fresh sea air is replaced with the spicey aromas of the adjacent 'Curry Mile'.....BUT it is, as I am frequently reminded, very convenient! So far I feel surprisingly comfortable and find the surroundings reassuringly familiar, despite only two previous visits, and I am certainly optomistic about the coming weeks.
