Rain, rain, go away...
Too wet and windy today. This was the view from my dad's house. I'd called in to say hello after picking the kids up from school. It was dry outside when I got there, 2 minutes later it was VERY windy and sheets of rain. Thankfully it didn't last and we managed to get home without a soaking.
This evening was my first photography class. Lots of paperwork to start with, so none of the good stuff yet, but next week should be great. Hopefully this will mean the end of camera phone blips and the start of REAL photos from my DSLR... Ok, who am I kidding - I'm lazy at times, you're gonna get phone blips. ;-)
One thing I won't be doing is standing outside waiting for a taxi home. Darkness, quiet streets, being alone and expensive camera equipment do not mix well. A lad walked past me, obviously checking me out (no, not in that way!) which kinda freaked me out. Not happening.
Thanks for the comments on my last blip and the well wishes for My surgery. All went well. I was terrified, but the nurse who dealt with me was brilliant and really chirpy in a ditsy kinda way - definitely what you need to make you smile when you feel bad. And I was told when I was in recovery that she'd phoned through to check on me as she knew how nervous I was. She was fab. I made sure to thank her.
So, I'm achy and tired still, but healing well. Another week or so and I think all those aches should be gone and I should be back to 'normal' (I'm not normal, who is?). Mostly I think it's just muscles healing and skin tightening.
So... Must start getting my photography brain into gear...
