Sports Night (Phd Day 7)

We had a workshop today on the SSHRC scholarship. They're big grants to fund research. I've applied twice now and been turned down both times.

Anyway, this sign hangs in the faculty/graduate lounge and I'm curious as to the history. The "trophy" is next to it. Apparently it was retired a few years after the legendary Tie Game because the faculty beat the students and thus they didn't want any more games.

I love university.
