Just seen a chap in a black business suit, crisp white shirt and......purple and pink striped socks.......I assume that with neckties out of fashion, the blokes who formally wore novelty ties have resorted to the sock variant.

Had a quick chat with Alexander McCall Smith in the lounge, he's endorsing the new south bridge development, announced today. Previously, he'd bitterly opposed the crass, modernist plan of 2 years ago. Only had a brief on-line peak at the new design, but it appears most acceptable.
