Bob's seat

From 'Bob's seat' you get a good view over the valley to Penicuik House. Bob is on the right in this blip. As well as being a volunteer walk leader for many years, he has recently started a cycling group for older folk and is involved in developing pathways locally. It was his suggestion to put at seat at this spot and so I always refer to it as Bob's seat! I suspect he also quietly gets on with lots of other things that I don't know about.

The walk I recce'd this morning involved going along Lowrie's Den - I wonder who Lowrie was? A local stalwart like Bob??
