Lakeland gatepost.

The thing which Chloe is investigating is not an old piece of slade with some holes in it...well, it is, of course, but it is also a piece of history. In the past, lakeland gates were often made of thick sticks stuck through gateposts like this one. This old post has just been lifted to one side and the new modern gate has been fixed into the wall just to the left of this photo.
