Kefalonia Day 11
We spent a few hours up at the top end of the Agrostolie Gulf, an absolutely stunning area visually.
There's an area of marshland which unfortunately we couldn't get close enough to, to take any decent shots of the birds, but through the binoculars,
we could see many different types of wading birds including, heron's, storks, egret's.... Any amount of other smaller birds..........
When we passed through the area last week on our way to Lixouri, we'd seen some very large birds circling overhead, not sure whether they were Eagle's, Buzzards or kites, but as so often happens when you go looking for something specific, they just don't turn up where and when you want them to.
I managed to get some shots of a spider.........this spider was huge, not quite the size of my hand but big all the same......Reminded me of the creature in the Alien films that attatched itself to the crews face's in order to lay it's egg's into their bodies.......Absolutely gross......
I was going to publish a shot of one of the birds i took today, but there's an illusive Jay that visits our balcony which i'm trying to get a decent photo of, so instead here's shot of a beautiful butterfly.
