Staveley mill yard weir

Apparently this looked even more impressive earlier this week! I couldn't capture the sound but you can see the power if the water.. No wonder so many mills were built along the river Kent in Staveley.

This is the one behind Wilf's cafe at the mill yard. The bigger Barley weir upstream was also looking impressive. I hope tonight more pics on flickr
