The Rådhuset from Aker Brygge. C and I were going to have a drink somewhere, but all the bars were in the shade, so we just took a little walk instead.

The two towers contain offices for local government workers, but the lower section consists of grand function rooms and the lagre hall where they award the Nobel Peace Prize, amongst other things. There are lots of interesting modern murals inside making a riot of colour and form in stark contrast to the austere exterior. When it was built, the foreground area was a working harbour for commercial shipping. I think I would have found that more interesting than the restaurants and shops aimed at tourists and wealthy Oswegians which are there now.
