The Master

The Watercress Line runs steam trains from Alresford to Alton.

Paul, was today's porter-in-charge at Alresford. Really he's the Station Master, as that has a much better ring to it. Run entirely by volunteers, like most steam railways around the country, the station was buzzing as hordes of day trippers arrived by coach to embark on a step back in time.

Paul even proposed to his fiancee, Jill, just two weeks ago on the fireplate of one of the locomotives here. They've still to set a date, but we did recomend that he does the whole eloping off to Gretna green thing. Best wishes to you both.

As for yesterday. You lot are just the best! I was really pleased with how the shot turned out, but I was quite blown away by the response. A big, big thank you to you all.
