shop not make sale

Tried to buy a thing at lunchtime today only to be met with incredulity that someone might even suspect such a thing existed, never mind actually walk into a shop to attempt to buy one, even if it was precisely the sort of shop which would sell them if they did exist. Which they do. I'm always happy to not buy things from shops which are rubbish at being the sort of shops they're supposed to be so shall probably eventually just find one on the internet.

After failing for more than six years to get them on eBay, I today donated a pair of bicycling-shorts to a colleague who has recently started cycling the final section of his commute and was complaining of a sore arse. Combined with last week's transfer of my unused out-of-date camera flash and three old tyres and an old freewheel from the loft it won't be long before there's space to fit some new crap in the house.
