Spring Flowers

Apart from going to church this morning, I haven't been out of the garden! I get a lift to church from the friend for whom I brought Leo, the Chihuahua, back from Aberdeen. This means I get the 20 minute journey each way to sit and cuddle and make a fuss over the smallest fluffiest little dog you've ever seen!

Spent the afternoon cutting grass around lots of baby trees and bushes, places where you can't get even a very narrow lawn mower. It's tedious work and takes forever, but it is made more fun by having Ollie continually bringing me an old tennis ball to throw for him!

We had the first tourists of the year down to see the bird reserve this afternoon. Ollie was in his element, he loves meeting new folk, and they were very taken with him too.

These are some of the auriculas I've got in the garden. They interbreed and you end up with the most wonderful colour combinations. They are pretty easy to keep alive and if you have damp, heavy soil they are well worth trying.
