A Reverent Heart

That was the title of the photography retreat where I spent the weekend.

It couldn't have been more perfect. Hot sunny summery days, cool evenings and the colours of late summer in the hills of the Qu'Appelle Valley. Add to that the delight of arriving inside to an air conditioned dining room and three meals a day of simple healthy home cooked meals.

Saturday afternoon was the hottest of all but our facilitator had arranged for us to visit and photograph inside the "Fieldstone Cathedral". First built in 1865, Sacred Heart Church at Lebret was destroyed twice by fire. The current building was built in 1925.
