Pat Sharp without the gunge

A trip down to Herford to see my brother's family and spend time with our two nieces. We have been initiated into the world of 'soft play' (think Funhouse, Pat Sharp without he gunge) which was right up our street as adults are allowed in to 'look after' the child. Eleanor who is very nearly 3 was well able to look after herself which left me and Andy free to play in the ball pool, go down the tiger slide and climb under and over and through tunnels! Katie who is nearly 1 and is an excellent crawler, learnt to slide with very little assistance. Uncle Andy tested Eleanor's strength by hanging her from a full height basketball hoop and letting go, turns out luckily that she is quite strong.

We caught the train to the soft play place which Eleanor enjoyed, Uncle Andy kept her entertained by pointing out the canal, house boats and invisible cows along the way.
