Rain and Midgies

Today we headed up to Argyll and Bute for my friend's wedding. We had a leisurely drive up. Had a picnic in a layby, ignored the satnav and took the scenic route around Loch Awe. It rained, there were midgies, I took photos through wound down windows at quiet passing places and The Boy really enjoyed driving the single track roads.

We arrived at our B&B and were greated by a big, old, friendly dog. The room was lovely, no ensuite but use of a bathroom with free standing, claw footed, roll top bath, and we were given cake in the lounge by an open log fire. We then headed down the road to a local hotel for some dinner. The meal was lovely and as we went to pay, we found this lovely cat in reception. He reminded me of our girl Ali and the owners said he always sleeps when they lay papers on the desk.
