I wish you could have heard them, wittering away on the neighbour's roof. A real autumn soundscape!

btw I hope nobody (you know who you are) is spooked by this, they were very friendly starlings, honest.

Edit - I was in a bit of a rush when I posted this earlier and almost forgot what a lovely day it had been (in great contrast to yesterday's non-event). Warm and sunny this morning, I had given the bench in the front garden a couple of coats of Cuprinol before 10.00 am. Then I had an hour on the road bike before making the big decision to sell it (just not using it enough) and to replace it with something more suitable for all-year-round use. Refreshments followed, then lunch, the weekly visit to Tesco, dinner, and a trip to the local with my mate and ex-colleague John. A good day :)
