Young fluffy goldfinches after the seedheads...

in the field outside the kitchen window. I could see areas of the grass suddenly moving rather a lot, and it was not a windy day...I realised it was little groups of birds clinging on to the knapweed and fiercely tucking into their breakfast seeds.
