Happiness...

...Is sitting on top of a lump of ancient granite in the middle of the moors with the wind howling, soaking up the view and coming to the realisation that all the stresses and strains of the last few months just don't matter anymore (apart from now being officially unemployed, that's a bit of a bugger, but a temporary bugger and not as much of a bugger as trying to balance an emotionally draining social work degree with single parenthood). For the first time in ages I feel properly, euphorically happy today. All the other things that were bringing me down have gone, I have a daughter who's too good to be true and makes me glow with pride every single day, I have the best friends, I live in heaven (well not literally, obviously), I have a heck of a lot to be grateful for. So tonight I will don my lovely new dress and I will go forth and celebrate!!!
Onwards and upwards? Too bloody right :)
