This is an 'after-the-fact' photo - I noticed the image in the corner of an unsuccessful street shot and cropped very tightly to get something a bit more interesting. Which might be a metaphor for the whole day.

It was forecast to be sunny, so I took the day off to spend some time with C& M. We had a plan, but that plan relied on a ferry - which it turned out only runs at weekends in September (but the weekend is not going to be sunny, I venture to complain!).

Plan B took us up to the woods above the city for a walk in the sunshine. Which was nice, but I do find the trees off-putting, being used to open moorlands and large views. Then back home on the T-bane and an early evening stroll around the harbour.
