Something for the weekend

Today, I decided to forgo the busy weekend I had planned. So cancelled my Friday night date in Manchester and took a raincheck on Saturday playing out in Birmingham.

Decided today that it would be quite nice to have a weekend on my own - and time to get my own house in order. Literally 'get my house in order!' As it looks like we will be here for another 6 months I need to fit brackets to hang the girls bikes up in the cellar and clear somewhere to put all the stuff from the old house. So that is the plan.

Realised I have been deliberately filling my weekends when the girls are with their dad so I'm not on my own - but when the working week has been hard something has to give. So just chilling out tonight and going to sort out the house tomorrow- and I will cook something nice to eat for myself too!

Blip is my favourite mug, had it for about 10 years...from the Disney shop. Not a fan of Disney Whimsy but they do make lovely BIG mugs! My tea tastes better in it.

It's falling apart, the paint is wearing thin, the handle is coming loose and the inside really leaves a lot to be desired!

But - a lesson learnt tonight. I don't always have to be a 'busy woman' all the time, I can be OK just chilling on my own.

Let's see what tomorrow's blip is! Hopefully I've not gone stir crazy!
