Birds of a Feather

I am knackered! The day started early as we prepared for our day trip to NYC. The 2 hour trip was thankfully uneventful and we arrived in time for our ferry to Ellis Island, which was the first stop. We spent a couple of hours touring the museum ~ there is so much history there it's amazing! You can almost hear the ghosts of the past echoing through the halls and you can certainly 'feel' them!

After Ellis Island we took the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. After going through the museum we went up to the pedestal level of the statue. The view of NYC is absolutely gorgeous from up there! We did not go all the way up the statue as there are WAY too many stairs.

This Seagull was looking for handouts as we took a short break between touring the islands! We were both so tired that we took an hour nap once we got back home! Thanks for a great day, R!!
