Robin

Today was always going to be a bird shot so I set up the tripod in the kitchen and opened the window. Two of our three cats decided it would be good to sit under the feeders and watch the birds; so they flew away. The cats were lured away with some extra special food and the birds returned, as did the rain.

There was the usual variety of birds on the feeders, but the robins always pose the best and keep still long enough for me to capture them. This one was also sheltering from the rain, as you can see from the raindrops on the bottom of the feeder. It looks as though it has a hook coming out of its back, but this is the hook that the feeder is hanging on; is this as bad as a tree growing out of someone?s head?
