Pete in retirement

Lepiota procera (Parasol Fungus)

Moore Reserve today. I have never seen so many Amanita muscaria (Fly Agarics) at Moore before. It was good timing because that was what we went to see and photograph. We also saw a rabit being chased by a stoat and heard the end of the chase. I went to look but didn't want to disturb the stoat feeding or there would have been another chase and a wasted dinner. I managed some blurry shots but wasn't set up for it.
There was an abundance of fungi and we had a fruitful morning until the heavens opened.
The Lepiota stood about 1' high.
