Long Lost Friends

Took my Grandma to Hurworth Country Fair today (My Dad was showing off his Bee Keeping skills there). My Grandad was from Scotland and loved playing the bag pipes, so as I had seen that a pipe band was playing with a dancer, thought she might like it....little did I know that the pipe band playing was only Newton Aycliffe Pipe Band, the band my Grandad used to play in!! What a marvelous afternoon it turned out to be, she met people she had not seen for over 10 years including the young man she is with in the pic. He must have been about 11 when she knew him and is now the pipe major and after all those years he remembered her. Needless to say she was thrilled, as you can see by her smile :)
