Dr. King

We visited the new memorial to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today.

It's pretty powerful, and we heard part of a talk by a very passionate park ranger who told of being at the memorial as some of the surviving giants of the Civil Rights Movement came through.

It was also good to see all the families, and all the children, soaking in the quotes and enjoying the setting on the tidal basin (with the statute of Dr. King gazing across to, of all things, the Jefferson memorial).

If you're in D.C., it's worth a visit.
