Thought i'd have a bash at a bit of action today - and as the Rugby club is about 2 mins away i headed off.

This guy scored a few Trys for the away team. What amazed me is the level of protective gear they have - helmets, gum shields and a doctor type person on the side line...no doubt it's a good idea, but not wanting to sound like an old fart (i'm 42), when i played there was none of it...the only time you came off was when you were so concussed you were blind and/or vomiting and even the most deepest of cuts got a slathering and vaseline and you were ok 'till the end of the game.....the most protection we were afforded was 'Deep heat' and that was only for the rich kids !
