Testing, Testing, 1...2...3...
Hollow Jnr Snr wanted to go up to the National Trust land at Longshaw this morning, mainly because there was a bag she wanted in the tea room/giftshop. She hadn't spent any of her birthday money yet, so why not?
I said I'd only take her if she could be my photography gopher (gopher this, gopher that, etc) for a little bit first. I did want to get up early to track some stags at Chatsworth, but I realised that I had left it rather late when I my eyes opened and saw an 8 at the start of my clock radio :-|
Never mind, she agreed and I did get to mess with a new variable ND filter with some water cascades and then tried out a technique I had read about a few months back called a Bokehrama. Wasn't planning to, but saw this log and it came to me. It's certainly not the best location or composition to do this with, I just wanted to try out the process in Photoshop to see if it was worth pursuing. Well, I think that it is, as I quite like the effect. Going to plan a nice Autumnal one now. Going to have to think carefully about how to get the shots needed as this was meant to be a lot wider, but I missed quite a few parts of the background out....
Hollow Jnr Snr loves her new bag, so we both succeeded this morning.
