I pity the others!

I do feel the need to say sorry to the others out enjoying the sunshine and peace and quiet of a hike up a fell in the Lake District today. The few that happened upon our bunch, certainly had shattered any serenity that they were enjoying.

Between the screams and cries of the scrapes from tumbles, the squabbling over rotten blackberries, the fight to death attitude to the sharing of the dried mango and the twining of the youngest who really, really doesn't like going downhill - you could hear us all from a mile off!

Let alone the poor people enjoying the views from the top by the monument who moved off quicker than they had planned due to the need of the kids to jump off it!

I am planning on bringing earplugs next time and I suggest them to any others who see this family striding out for a walk!
