Apple Pickin'

There are some shots that as soon as you take them you know they are going to be one of the best youve done. In this case just before I pressed the shutter I knew this was going to be the best portrait shot I have of Little Big Girl. The light was really bright and harsh and being in an orchard there were plenty of shadows, so technically this shot has its flaws, but as she rarely cooperates I had to catch her unawares. Beleive it or not this shot isnt staged. Its not a pose, shes reaching over to pick an apple. Just a shout from me to get her to look up.

She is really starting to look so much older this week. She has switched out from shorts and a t-shirt into her new "fall wardrobe". She really is getting to be a big girl.

From the smell drifting towards my desk I think my wife is already making the apple pie!
