Live and Deadly
One of Noah's favourite tv programs is CBBC's 'Live and Deadly'. He was watching it last week when they advertised free tickets to their roadshow at Lydiard Park (Swindon). Noah applied online using his Mum's email address and was given four tickets.
We had to queue a little to get our wrist bands for the main live show with Steve Backshall, but it was well worth it. I didn't get a band as they were only letting in one parent to allow as many children in as possible - this was ok as I could see from outside - Steve showed several animals including a 4 meter long Python, a Harris hawk, a large Snapping Turtle and a large poisonous centipede.
We also got to go to a Crocodile talk where the children got to stroke a Nile Crocodile and a bird display with Naomi Wilkingson. We finished the morning off in the 'Deadly Art' tent where the children were shown how to draw a Great White Shark!
All in all a great morning and the weather was very kind too. When leaving the event they stamped our hands in case we wanted to return. This blip was Noah's idea - niether Noah or Tabitha wanted to wash their hands in the bath tonight
