Chutney
If I never chop another tomato/onion/pepper again it will be too soon, but at the end of it all I have made 'an amount' of chutney. It never seems to be as much as you mean it to be.
So spicy tomato chutney and green tomato chutney all jarred up and ready to be tucked away in a darkened room for a couple of months - should be perfect in time for Xmas and lots of cheese and crackers.
In other mad delia type moments from today I have banana bread in the oven and had homemade macaroni cheese for tea - perhaps hubby should go away more often if it spurs me into mad wifely overdrive.
